I became a counselor after working in higher education and seeing the diverse emotional needs young adults were struggling to manage. After getting my Masters, I have worked in a school setting helping teens manage emotions in an increasingly complex world and build foundational life skills that will allow them to find success socially and academically. I believe strongly in the importance of a collaborative and holistic support system, and work proactively with parents, and schools.

I am passionate about working with children, teens, and young adults to help them address their anxiety, depression, build positive relationships, manage their stress and build their self-esteem. I particularly enjoy the “tween” age group as middle school can be a challenging time, but it is also a time of immense growth and change.

My goal is to provide a safe, supportive space where we can work together to help you grow into your most authentic and fulfilled self. I use a variety of therapeutic techniques drawn from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness and Strengths based practices.

I will meet you where you are and help you find the tools that work best for you so you can overcome whatever is holding you back.

After receiving my master's degree, I worked in several different mental health settings but found my particular niche when working with teens and young adults in individual therapy. I became a therapist in order to assist people build confidence to independently navigate through the struggles that we are faced with every day. I believe that the most important part of a therapeutic relationship is the rapport built from the first meeting. I hope to assist young adults and teens by working collaboratively and building this type of trusting relationship.

I specialize in working with young adults and teenagers. I am particularly passionate about working together with the client to manage anxiety, depression, personal relationships, stress, and life transitions. I also have experience working with trauma, substance abuse, and grief. Teenagers and young adults are faced with countless challenges and trials, and my goal is to assist with increasing clients' ability to manage these with more independence and at their own pace.

I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to assist clients in session, however, I believe in a Person-Centered approach to meet the client where they are, and adjust my techniques based on the specific needs of the client. I also find solution-focused therapy and the holistic approach to be particularly helpful.
