Kabria Haskins is a Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor who specializes in working with tweens, adolescents, young adults, and families. She is passionate about helping young people navigate the unique challenges that arise during periods of growth, transition, and self-discovery. Kabria provides a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel empowered to explore their experiences, build confidence, and develop the skills needed to thrive.
Born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland, Kabria is a graduate of St. Paul’s School for Girls. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Criminal Justice from the University of Maryland, College Park before dedicating a year of service to AmeriCorps through the City Year DC Program. During this experience, she worked closely with middle school students, helping improve attendance, behavior, academic performance, and overall student success. It was through this work that she discovered her passion for supporting young people and ultimately pursued a Master of Education in School Counseling from George Washington University.
Kabria specializes in helping tweens, teens, and young adults navigate anxiety, depression, stress, self-esteem concerns, relationship challenges, academic pressures, and the demands often associated with being a high-achieving student. She understands that adolescence and young adulthood can be both exciting and overwhelming as individuals develop their identities, strengthen relationships, and prepare for future goals. Kabria works collaboratively with clients to help them build self-awareness, confidence, emotional resilience, and effective coping skills.
One of Kabria’s greatest strengths is her ability to form authentic and meaningful connections with her clients. She believes that a strong therapeutic relationship is the foundation for growth and healing and strives to create a space where clients feel seen, heard, and accepted for who they are. Her empathetic and open-minded approach allows clients to explore challenges safely while developing greater confidence in their ability to navigate life's obstacles.
Kabria utilizes evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Person-Centered Therapy. She tailors treatment to the unique needs and goals of each individual and helps clients strengthen communication skills, improve self-advocacy, develop healthy coping strategies, and build lasting emotional well-being.
