Kristina Creighton is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor who specializes in working with adolescents, young adults, and emerging adults. She is passionate about helping clients build confidence, develop resilience, and navigate life's challenges with greater independence and self-assurance. Kristina understands that the teenage and young adult years are often filled with significant transitions, changing relationships, increasing responsibilities, and questions about identity and purpose. She enjoys helping clients develop the skills needed to manage these challenges while creating meaningful and fulfilling lives.
After earning her master's degree, Kristina worked in a variety of mental health settings before discovering her passion for providing individual therapy to teens and young adults. Through these experiences, she developed expertise in helping clients navigate anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, stress, grief, trauma, and life transitions. She is particularly skilled at helping young people who feel overwhelmed, stuck, uncertain about their next steps, or disconnected from their sense of confidence and direction.
Kristina believes that the foundation of successful therapy is a strong therapeutic relationship. She prioritizes creating a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel comfortable being themselves and exploring difficult thoughts, emotions, and experiences. Her collaborative approach empowers clients to identify their strengths, develop effective coping strategies, and make meaningful progress toward their goals.
Kristina utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and holistic approaches to treatment. She believes that therapy should be individualized to each client's unique needs and works collaboratively with clients to identify the strategies that will be most effective for them. Her goal is to help clients increase self-awareness, strengthen emotional resilience, improve relationships, and build the confidence needed to navigate life's challenges independently.
